Theatre
We firmly believe that drama not only imparts theatrical knowledge and cultural depth to students but also brings precious experiences for their personal growth. Drama studies help students express their artistic ideas, build confidence, unleash their creativity, and provide them with opportunities to communicate and collaborate effectively with others through the arts.
The drama studies component aims to lay a solid foundation in theatrical skills and knowledge by creating, performing, appreciating, and analyzing drama. Specific competencies include physical theatre, devised theatre, improvisation, as well as an understanding of scripted works and world theatre. Students will use this foundation to prepare for advanced drama studies in the future.
Another distinctive feature of our drama program is interdisciplinary teaching. This allows students to experience various subjects from fresh methods and perspectives while absorbing knowledge.
Drama learning aims to provide students with opportunities to think of innovative solutions and offer critical, constructive feedback on discussed topics. Fictional characters and texts provide a safe space for students to explore dramatic scenarios and make decisions, giving them the spirit of adventure and imagination when sharing their ideas.
