Homework Policy
All students are required to complete and submit assignments that meet basic quality standards on time. If a student fails to submit an assignment on time without a valid reason, it will be handled according to the following rules:
If a student encounters the following issues:
- Accumulates 3 instances of late submission within one week
- Accumulates 3 instances within one week where the quality of the submitted assignment fails to meet the standard (e.g., incomplete work, plagiarism, messy handwriting, etc.)
The following penalties will be imposed:
- Deduction of 2 conduct marks
- Detention for 1 hour and 10 minutes in the designated homework (tutorial) classroom on that school day to complete the unfinished assignment
- Homework (Tutorial) sessions are held from Monday to Thursday: 4:30 PM – 5:40 PM
During detention, students are required to:
- Complete the late assignment for that day. If the late assignment is not completed, the student must attend detention again the next day.
- Ensure the quality of the assignment meets the basic requirements set by the teacher.
- Use any remaining time to complete other assignments or review.
- Write a 100-word reflection.
If a student is found to have intentionally copied a classmate’s answers, the following penalties will be imposed:
- Both the student who copied and the student who allowed their work to be copied will be deducted 3 conduct marks.
- The assignment will receive no score.
- Detention for 1 hour in the designated homework (tutorial) classroom on that school day to complete the unfinished assignment.
- Homework (Tutorial) sessions are held from Monday to Thursday: 4:30 PM – 5:40 PM
During detention, students are required to:
- Redo the copied assignment (or the one that was copied).
- Ensure the quality of the redone assignment meets the basic requirements set by the teacher.
- Use any remaining time to complete other assignments or review.
- Write a 150-word reflection.
